FEELING-
Surprised!
On our doorstep today the kid's discovered
a special package

We were sent the "Elf on the Shelf"
and we named him RUFUS.
He will watch the children and report to Santa
each night to let him know if they've
been naughty or nice.
Then, in the morning
he will re-appear in a new place.
What a fun tradition to start-
THANK YOU SMITH FAMILY!!

Just Said...

After I told Oliver we needed to
clean up the bonus room he replied,

"The matter of life is just what it is,
so you just gotta chill out."

Who are you child?

tender friendship...

my friend nadia wrote a lovely and all too flattering post here.
delight
joy
glee
contentment
blessed
is what i feel when i think of the connections i've made through my blog.
nadia is such a pure soul.
she is good,
she is real,
she is honest,
she takes amazing photos of every day beauty,
and i am better for meeting her.
*
please take a moment to look at her pictures and read her heartfelt words. you'll want to go back often and see what's on her mind and in her camera:)
thank you my sweet, sweet friend.

"beth" is not the only thing we share

i have a fondness for dog the bounty hunter.

that do-gooder mullet man

who catches the bad guys,

one barefoot toothless dude

or dudette at a time....

but during the wedding my dress

made me feel how his wife Beth must feel.

the belt propped below my "ladies",

as if to present them on a platter...

and the jolly plumpness of my body reflected

in the photos gets everybody in the mood...

for christmas.

i will play a good santa this year.

Beth, as much as I love you,

as beautiful as your curvish fancies are,

i'm a bit tired of cropping out my ample arms,

and so it is with much sorrow,

that i bid adieu....

hopefully soon,

the name "beth" is all we will share.

i'm only eating carrots and granola bars,

from now on,

at least for an hour,

okay i'll start tomorrow.

Grow Old With Me

Congratulations to Eliza and Jason RUYS
who were married in the Rexburg temple
on Saturday November 15th.
Eliza looked ravishing,
Jason looked ectastic,
together they glowed.

A Week in Harvest Country

With Eliza's wedding to prepare for and other family milestones happening like Sadie and Caleb going to the temple for the first time, I decided to play hooky and spend a week in Idaho with my family. Here is just a little sampling of some of the things that occupied our time.....

i always get the salmon and caeser salad,
and i always get bubble guts after,
how romantic.

inspiration and sugar cookies at the mini bazaar.

another bridal shower for eliza hosted by Jen.
the lovely cupcake below was just part of the
heavenly tastings provided by her friend Gloria
of Rexburg's Cocoa Bean Cupcake Shop.
Better Than You Know What Cupcake.

but I oogled all the pretty beads.
