Congratulations Eliza and Jason!!

On Addy's birthday,
Eliza granted magical permission for the wedding
of her life to that of Jason's.
They are a match made in heaven-
Jason already feels like family,
and Eliza is on cloud nine!
I don't remember being as touchy feely as they
are when Chris and I were engaged....
how quickly we forget those days when all
we wanted to do was nuzzle and cuddle....
and the shiny sparkle of her beautiful ring is blinding.
***
My ring is dull now, and the touching is in passing as Chris
hurries to meet with subs and I hurry to change a diaper,
but the neat thing is today our love is deeper
than it was in those early years.
The evolution of love is quite interesting,
and I so look forward to watching these two
fastastic souls make a life together.
***
The men of the world will be sorely remissed
for passing up a chance to snatch up dear Eliza!!
Jason, you are one lucky dude,
but so is she:)
not a dude,
just lucky!

Happy Birthday Addy

Addy had her birthday last week.
Each year is getting harder to accept as she
gets closer and closer to becoming a young woman.
I can still remember when she was a little baby
in our tiny apartment in the dorms at BYU
and she would cheerfully wake us up from her crib
as she peeked up over the edge
with her fuzzy hair and giggles.
********
Addison has always been such a good friend to everyone,
concious of including those who are usually left out.
I know this is hard to do now, and groups and clicks
are forming, but I still hear her being concerned
about those who are lonely and need someone.
********
Her helpful spirit is such a blessing as she takes care of
her little brothers and does the neverending tasks
around the house that I throw her way.
********
I love her creative artistic side.
She loves to do crafts and projects with her mom,
but she also loves to mess with tools in the garage
with dad....and she even mows the lawn!
She is a fantastic singer and dancer.
********
What a cutie she is...
and with each passing year she becomes
more beautiful,
inside and out.

WHAT A FUN DAY!!

We love the little princess movie and I thought it would
be fun to read the book together. I remember watching
the Shirley Temple version when I was little.
I gracefully sacraficed my ipod for the cause
since I haven't used it much and will just take her
old MP3 player- she was pretty stoked!

We were out of fruit and I couldn't leave the

cute little compartments on her plate

empty so I filled them with cereal, I know it's ghetto.

The sticking out of tongues should be on

our family crest....if we had one.

That gets me thinking.....

Addy's sense of style has really matured over the years.

It is so fun to see what kind of "ensemble" she will

put together next, there are always cute accessories involved.

I love Swaps!!

Are you kidding me yumminess and cuteness?
We got a note in the mail today saying that there was
a package at the post office for me.
What?
I wasn't expecting anything.
Then Chris walked in the door and said,
"How much do you love me?"
After the playful taunting because he knew he had something
good in his possession he handed me the package.
What a treat! And I do mean literal treat!!
Emily had sent me oodles of fabulous things-

***

***

Scrumptious Snickerdoodles and Fancy Chocolate Wafer Cookies
that came in a cute sewn bug bag that I can't wait to
savor with a big glass of cold milk- girl, you can bake!!

***

Adorable handmade doll that I was oogling on her blog...
serious cuteness, I love the ribbon tag on the side and the buttons!

***

Wonderful Stained Glass Ship, so perfect coming from Rhode Island
(my past swap partner is from there too,
I think that place is calling my name!)

***

Fresh and tingly tinted lip gloss from C.O. Bigelow Apothecaries

***

Sweet double lip balm sugar from Tutti Dolci

***

A BIG THANK YOU
for the surprises and thoughtfulness!
They are truly things that I love and will be
my new favorite things!!
THANKS EMILY!

Jairus from Jackson

My brother Jairus is visiting from Jackson Hole.
I tend to morph into a different person when I'm with him
much to Chris' shagrine. We get a little crazy and out of control,
but only because we are on the same wave-length as far as coolness goes.

He came bearing gifts from a fabulous shop that he works at...PURE.

He knows my affection for all things gnomish...

And this is some sweet smelling perfume...

Yesterday we took a jaunt into Salt Lake where he treated me to a pedicure and a mouth watering lunch at our favorite place- Normandy. Even the water was delicious with lemon and mint. We swung by a couple of our stomping grounds including Jolley's Pharmacy for some red, white, and blue gumballs and Cactus and Tropicals for a topiary and mint plant so I can have my own yummy water at home.

Thanks Jair Bair for a fun day, no one makes me laugh like you do...

Oh my gosh, I totally know her!....I read her blog.

Your kids are so well-behaved!

Have you seen my homework?

You know what to do!!
