I finally just finished reading this today.....I'm a little speechless....and not in a good way.

I remember being so swept up in Twilight last year and reading it in like a day dude! I didn't feel like the book was earth shatteringly deep or anything, just fun and light. My sweet friend Tylee gave me New Moon with some goodies after I had Tade and I kept trying to read it. For some reason it didn't draw me in like the first one had- maybe my life has been a bit more distracting this time around. So I finally buckled down and read it, and I have to be honest, Bella was really annoying. She was melodramatic, immature, whiney, and the perfect example of the way a teenagers idea of love is merely a manifestation of lust and desire. I know I'm going to get in trouble for voicing these opinions, but maybe I shouldn't expect so much out of a young adult book. Real love is about sacrafice, years of sludging through hard times together, really knowing oneanother just for starters. I felt like Bella was acting so ridiculous and absurd when she had her little episodes acting like life couldn't go on without her sexy cold statue vampire man. I give props to Stephenie Meyer for writing these books because they do help you escape to another world, but I expect a little more in a love story, and maybe I'd just rather read about the true account of Joe Bob getting lost in the amazon for thirty years and learning how he lived on grubs and pond water while falling in love with the local tribal lady widowed with fifteen children who nursed him back to health after he had to cut off both his legs- I'm more impressed by that story. Holy longest sentence of my life!

But I must say this.... Edward, if you can hear me, I want you to know that I can't go on living without you....I'm drawn to your white, pale-ish, cold, concrete like skin, I want to gaze into your red bloodshot eyes and feel your icey hand caress my face.....I love being in your presence knowing that at any moment you're going to sink your sharp dagger teeth into my fragile skin and embalm me like a mortician, and that you can carry me on your back and run through the forest while branches slap me in the face......get real. I'd rather cuddle with a porcupine and watch Oprah while eating a carton of ice cream.

Tell me what you think, have you read the books, do you agree or disagree? Am I being too harsh?

I couldnt sleep and kept thinking about the love affair. i was obsessed. My book group tryed to get stephanie meyer to our book club but her husband said she was out of the country, she lives here in phoenix, any way i think the movie in December will excite us all again, i hope...

Eclipse is going to kill you, but you have to read it to see how it all plays out! Bella is a whiner...most everyone I know agrees, but I think I was when I was 18 too. I CANNOT wait for the end of the saga! I have SO loved the series. Keep reading it. I'm hoping it all works out wonderfully in the end. We will see. :)

PS
In my ward there is an Edward fan club and a Jacob fan club...Seriously.

Hi! This is Aaron's wife Shanetta. Love your blog! I LOVED this series..I acctually liked the first one best, almost hated the second and liked the third a little better...the next book will have a lot of loose ends to tie up..She is still a little weird in the third book but it ties the second book to the first a little more..
Anyway-Aaron would love to catch up-he's looked at your blog but doesn't know how to work any of this stuff, so his e-mail is aganir@gmail.com
He'd love to hear from you!

Friska, I would love to go. When is it. Jess and I have been meaning to take a trip to Utah for a while. That would be so fun. So I love my dance class and wish you were in it with me. Sara we had the coolest class yesterday. It was a Nia class. It's kinda a new thing around these parts and the closest classes are in Salt Lake. It's a combo of Dance, martial arts, pilates and yoga. It originated in Portland. Sooooo rad! I though of you the whole time. It's totally free spirited and just way cool. Check it out online. You really should go to a class. It was the best workout ever and funnest!

So I can't comment at all on yor book as I have yet to read any of them, they are my list to read but I can say, "I am so glad I found you on Laura's blog." This is Marisa from Academy, do you remember me? I was just thinking about you the other day wondering what in the world had happened to you. I think the last time I saw you you and your husband were living in Heritage Halls, did you do that? Or is my memory failing me? It seems to do that a bit with each child I have...I love reconnecting with old friends via the blogging world! Your children are beautiful and I love little Tade's name and how it came to be. I am excited to be able to keep up with you. Do you remember my little sister Chelsea that was in your group? I told her that I had found your blog and she was so excited and wanted to see it too. Take care!
